The Real-time Internet industry has been growing rapidly over the past year. Live broadcasting with host-in feature functionality has extended from the entertainment industry to more verticals and industries. Langrensha (aka “Werewolf”, a popular mobile social game) and Houseparty (a social network application), have introduced new models of social activities by leveraging real-time communications into their applications. The success of Glory of Kings, another highly popular mobile game in China, demonstrates how real-time voice technology for online gaming has matured over the last year. In addition, the development of the RTC technology stack is quickly gaining momentum, as demonstrated by Apple’s recent announcement of their intent to support WebRTC technology on iOS 11 and Safari 11.
